....since the last posting here! I apologize to the followers of this blog for my absents. A lot has happened over the past few months!
First, Pierce arrived from Belgium to visit us here at Tollchester until later this year. His owner Els Van De Langeburg visited Seattle with her lovely dogs Foxy and Pierce. Foxy got to go home at the end of her visit with some extra cargo! Foxy is due soon with her litter from our boy Ziggy.
Pierce got to stay and play show dog... and did he ever do his job well! He started off his show career in the USA at the Puyullup WA dog show were he picked up 12 points in 3 days and recieved his majors for his American title! With only 3 points to go we decided to wait a wee bit to show him. On March 3rd he attended the supported entry with Simone Sortwell in Maryland and recieved BOS over specials for a 5 point major! This win made him an American Champion! Way to go team Pierce.
Since our last update we have had a litter of wee ones! Carling was bred to Ripley in November and we have 4 lovely girls and 2 handsome boys that were born January 24, 2012. We are very excited about this litter and look forward to their evaluations later this month. **currently all the puppies are spoken for from this litter**
Pierce isn't the only one having a grand time in the show world. Simone Sortwell has also been doing some visits at shows. In February she attended the Westminster Kennel Club Show (WKC) in New York! Although she didn't have a dog entered she had a lovely time supporting fellow breeders. Some beautiful dogs were in the top awards and it was an honor to be part of their team.
Mercedes has returned to Tollchester and she will be expecting her first litter in April. We are very excited about this litter as this will be our first litter with possibly two sires! We opted for a double sire breeding in hopes to have puppies from both boys. We will be DNA testing these pups at 4-6 weeks to answer the question everyone will be wondering "who's your daddy?"
